THE LEGEND IS BACK – IN CANTON NIDWALDEN, 500 METER ABOVE LAKE LUCERNE, THE LARGEST INTEGRATED HOTEL RESORT OF SWITZERLAND IS DEVELOPING. THE RESORT IS HIGH UP ON THE BÜRGENBERG, COMPLETELY FREE OF CARS AND FEATURES 30 BUILDINGS, INCLUDING 4 3 TO 5 STAR HOTELS.
The "Bürgenstock Resort" was installed with storm-proof telescopic umbrellas in the sizes 5 x 5 m, 8 x 8 m and 8.5 x 8.5 m for wind speeds of up to 130 km/h. These umbrellas are equipped with LED lighting and heating, which create a pleasant atmosphere and allow catering until late at night. Electric motors make it easy to open and close the umbrellas with the touch of a button. The umbrellas can be placed in a row or as a small group and create a continuous roof landscape of almost 290 m2 (on a terrace alone). Furthermore, sidearm umbrellas (5 x 5 m) have been installed. The sidearm umbrellas have an unique internal, maintenance-free gear that drives the spindle in the internal telescopic mast, which opens and closes the umbrella. The umbrella type S16 was installed in the "Aplina Spa". This umbrella type was awarded the "Red Dot Award" in the category "Best of the Best" in 2018. The tensioning umbrella is equipped with a balance system and sets accents with individual, coloured components.
